Entry Sensors detect and report when doors or cabinets open and close. The unit consists of two pieces -- a small magnet, and a larger sensor.
When the arrow symbol on the magnet is near the arrow on the sensor, the system will indicate the door or cabinet is closed. When they separate in distance, the system will indicate the door is open.
These two pieces affix to a door or cabinet with the integrated sticky tape.
Let’s begin by connecting the Entry Sensors to your Smart Home Center Gateway.
Begin by removing the left most Entry Sensor from the packaging. It’s labelled “Front Door” on the back. I’ll step you through getting it connected and naming it, and then it should be installed on the entrance most frequently used -- usually the front door, and positioned near the top.
